Angela, The fact that you have 3 eqns and 3 unknowns does not guarantee you that the system is "solvable". If there are linearly dependent columns or rows in your matrix, the system is ill-conditioned. So, I suggest you to start from checking if the matrix is non-singular. Good luck.
