Hello, I am due for a new computer and my driving requirement is Mathematica speed. I was wondering if anyone could recommend which processor family (Intel or AMD) and which OS (Win NT or WXP) has the best speed comparison. I read a statement that said the AMD runs circles for FP ops. over Intel, but there was no more detail, so I was wondering. Note: I have always thought about going MAC, but just have too much software that I use and cannot afford to. Thanks for any guidance, Flip Remove "_alpha" to email me.
