With so little information, anything that might be (and has been) said about this behavior is speculative. Given the known advantages of Version 4.2, and the known disadvantages of reverting to Version 4.1, it is difficult to justify broadly recommending the latter as a solution that may or may not work for a problem that may or may not arise. It is also not clear how to reconcile your comment about receiving no response from WRI with the fact that WRI sent a response (to which you have already replied) the same day (July 2) that your initial report was sent to Wolfram Research Technical Support. Even incomplete reports are taken very seriously, and certainly this report should and will be investigated. Dave Withoff Wolfram Research
