I made a  mistake in the definition of the question.
 The function  is  correctly defined as 

 myfunc[n_,pthreshold_] := Module[{t},
 t=Max[Cases[myArray, {n, k_, p_} /; (p >= pthreshold) -> k, 2]];
 If[t>=0,t,-1]]

Please note that inserting Evaluate before Table does not work
correctly either, because evaluating myfunc[n,p] when p is not a
number, gives -1.
