Has anyone written a Mathematica Method to > simplify matrix entry? Have you tried using the "Basic Input Palette"? Look under the "file" menu, under the "palettes" subheading. If you choose "Basic Input Palette", a bar should come up that includes a 2x2 matrix-looking button. Click on it and you can enter matrices directly as a grid of any desired size. You can use CTRL-Enter and CRTL-comma to add rows and columns. You can do this directly from an empty line without using the palette, if you wish. Happy matrix entering. -- Curt Fischer
