Hallo,

first of all I want to congratulate and thank all the users and
moderators of this newsgroup for their work and their contributions. It
is a damned good newsgroup!
But...!
Most of the times when I post a question I get replies to my private E-
Mail but not into the newsgroup here. And therefor others who might be
interested in the Thread can't see the answer.
I'm interested in a lot of other questions, not only in those I've asked.
What a pity, if all the good answers pass me unread, cause they are
posted not to the newsgroup but to the person who asked.
At the moment I have marked 8 questions where I'm interested in in my
newsreader. It appears that non eof them has been answered. I can't
believe that.
Is this newsgroup different to others? In other newsgroups I get my
answers not via E-Mail and this often leads to interesting discussions.

Why is it done this way? Am I doing something wrong?

[Users can make sure that their answers will go out to the whole
group if they include the full group by adding mathgroup at smc.vnet.net
to the email responses. If you post back to the newsgroup and not
just to the original sender, it will go out to everyone also.
Also, if you get email responses that do not go out to others,
you can summarize the responses and post them yourself.

Thank you

Oliver Friedrich
