Of course I know how to minimize windows and kernel is minimized
anyway.  Furthermore, there is not way to maximize it.  What I meant
however is not to minimize, but "minimize to system tray", which is
located to the right bottom corner of desktop (by clock) or hide
totally so that one can see it as a process if one opens the task
manager.  Kernel window bears no function (except may be to force shut
down evaluation when mathematica stops responding to ALT+.) and I do
not see why it would be kept on desktop.  May be it is beautiful.
