OnPoint Analytics, a litigation consulting firm
primarily engaged in damages and liability support of
testifying expert witnesses and counsel, seeks
contract economists and data miners (30 hrs/wk. and
up). Ideal candidates for the Economic Analyst
positions will:

1. Be experienced in the use of Mathematica
statistical software as it relates to microeconomic
data modeling. Programming ability not necessary.

2. Possess at least a Masters degree in Economics
or a related discipline, with experience/interest in
Industrial Organization.

3. Possess broad experience with Excel and its
associated graphics capabilities.

4. Have a deep micro-economics background, with the
ability to present complex statistical findings in a
graphically compelling and easily discernible fashion
to non-economists.

5. Be willing and able to work flexible hours, at
times under very tight deadlines.

6. Preferably have some experience in the area of
litigation support, though such experience is not
required.

7. Be available to work on site relatively
frequently.

Qualifications concerning the Data Miner positions are
as follows:

1. A Masters and/or PhD in applied economics,
statistics or mathematics with extensive experience in
the use of Mathematica software. Coursework and/or
employment experience in data mining is crucial.

2. Extensive background in econometric modeling and
industrial organization.

3. The unique ability to mine voluminous statistical
data for relevant material, synthesize it rapidly,
and create a compelling, graphics-laden portfolio of
project results in an accurate, sound and defendable
fashion easily decipherable to the layperson.

4. A background in litigation is preferable, though
not required.

5. Be available to work on site relatively
frequently.

These are also contract positions requiring
flexibility with respect to work hours, under at times
tight deadlines.
