Depending on you intended audience, you may also wish to consider Excel
Link, which allows your Mathematica functions to be called from Excel,
taking advantage of any user familiarity with the Excel interface and of
course the built-in button, menu, and VBA constructs. I had to create an
interface for nursing staff, who are relatively non-technical and only
intermittent users of the application, and it was an effective approach.
