Huh?  I think there's a semantics problem here.  If I replot a plot with 
ImageSize tripled, the image size _on the screen_ is three times larger, 
which is certainly what I think of as the "effect of zooming" in an 
on-screen graphic, or as the "physical image size" of an on-screen 
graphic.
