Hi Mark, > I have written a technical paper in Mathematica and the publisher has > requested > it be sent in MS Word! (yes, I am rolling my eyes as well). Is this > sort of thing even remotely possible? Yes. Publisher's do that all the time. Apparently MSWord is a standard of some sort -- my field (Geophysics) often requires manuscripts in this format. Makes for great fun all round since the paper never quite formats the same on their machine as it did on yours. Sometimes, it never quite formats the same between saves on your own machine. As for concrete advice, you might try cutting & pasting text between the two programs. You'll probably have to do any equations again in Word's equation editor. You might also try Mathematica -> TeX -> MSWord, as I recall something about a TeX to MSWord converter. If it were me, I'd bite the bullet & write the paper in MSWord. In my experience, it is simpler this way. Regards, Dave.
