importing a file with rtf tags embedded

Hi,

Is there a way which enable to import a text file containing rtf tags  
and show it without those tags ?
For example, here is a snippet for illustration:

CAUSE, OF, DEATH:

I looked and tried the options listed under Import, but with no  
success.  The file itself has comas, semicolons,... in it, so if I  
Import it with Record or Word types, they break the rtf braces and I am  
not able to look for rtf tag patterns - with my newbie knowledge.  I  
have about a thousand such files which need to lose their rtf tags or  
interpret them correctly and show the format accordingly.

  Any good tip ?
