It is very hard to see why SparseArray would act differently depending 
on how the calculation was launched! Can you tell where in the .M file 
the mistake happens? It used to be the case that AutoGeneratedPackage 
would create an incorrect .M file unless you did a notebook save twice 
in succession - I am wondering if that problem is still present!
