FontVariations->{} bug??

I've just found that FontVariations->{"StrikeThrough"->True} does not
produce strikethough on my computer. Version 5.1, G4 power mac, OS X 10.3.8.

All other font variation settings work fine. Is this a bug? If so an Apple
only bug or occurring on all systems?
