Jeffrey, You can't directly set the axis origin in 3D graphics. 3D graphics are Boxed. The axes are along three perpendicular edges of the box. You can control the extent of the box by using the PlotRange option. You can control which edges of the box carry the axes ticks by using the option AxesEdge.
