Others are probably already aware of the problems if they are testing
MathML on their servers...

Mozilla ignores the mime type if it sees a file with the .html
extension. It will automatically use text/html even if the document is
xml. Also, if the document is .xml, it will treat the file as xml even
if it has regular (non-well formed, broken, busted) html in it
(generating syntax errors, etc). The best way to test your files is to
name them with an extension that does not trigger one path or the
other (see http://www.mozilla.org/newlayout/xml/ ).
