"GF[p, ilist][elist] represents an element of a finite field
(Galois field) with prime characteristic p and where the coefficients  of the
irreducible polynomial are given by ilist (constant term listed  first). The
particular element is specified by elist, the list of coefficients of  the
polynomial representation of the element. GF[p, d], p prime and d a  positive
integer, is a special form giving a Galois field that is a degree d  extension
of the prime field of p elements. The resulting field has p^d elements.
