Perhaps you could approach this issue from the other direction - spend
your time designing a take home exam which does not need features which
seem likely to be very difficult to implement entirely in Mathematica ?
You might, for example:
- write a program to generate a different test for each student;
- require students to submit answers by email before deadlines (eg
answer to Q1 by 21:15, answer to Q2 by 22:30, ...);
- I guess there are other tricks to try too.
