I thought, it is no problem, to adress as much memory as you want with
64Bit (about 10^10GByte) and the kernel configuration says, that iommu
(whatever this is) is needed to use more than 4GB of RAM.

By the way: We ordered a dual opteron system with 12GB RAM (max. 16GB)
with a Tyan Board. The Sun Workstations were too expensive (but thank's
for the reply anyway). I will send in some benchmarks, when we are up.
