You could even record a macro to have something to start with. I have no experience with Word, but to do things like that in Excel with macros is not much work and easy to learn. Of course you could try to do this from mathematica, but that would be more complicated, probably be done best with using JLink or NetLink and using Word COM-Objects or whatever, but why would you bother when all you want to do is to insert graphics?
