Eleanna,

you could also use my package ArgColorPlot.m.
It plots lists of complex numbers in form of a ListPlot
of the absolute value, with a color code for the phase.

You may download the package from here:
http://vqm.uni-graz.at/pages/dl_vqm_packages.html
Install the VQM packages as described
and then, for example,

<<VQM`;

seq = Table[(0.8 + 0.5I)^n, {n, 20}];

QListArgColorPlot[seq]
