Subject: [mg67411] Mathematica icons for GPL'ed software.

Are there any icons for Mathematica which could be legally distributed
with GPL'ed software? I'm looking for something which someone would
recognise as being related to Mathematica to use as an icon.

There's an icon on the Wikipedia page:

 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Mathematica_Icon.png

 which states:

"This is an icon of copyrighted computer software. It is believed that
 the exhibition of icons
 * to illustrate or identify the computer software in question
 * on the English-language Wikipedia, hosted on servers in the United
States by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation, qualifies as fair use
under United States copyright law. Any other uses of this image, on
Wikipedia or elsewhere, may be copyright infringement. See
 Wikipedia:Fair use and Copyrights."

I'm not sure if this is actually true or not. In any case, (again
according to Wikipedia) this "fair use" is a "Doctrine in United
States copyright law" which may not be too relevant outside the USA.

I've temporarily at least added the icon to a web page:

 http://witm.sourceforge.net/

but I'm not sure if adding that to GPL'ed software would be a
copyright infringement or not. (My guess is that it probably would be,
which is why I'm looking for something which will definitely not be a
 copyright infringement).
