Use Mathematica notation?

Solve[a*Sin[x] + b*Cos[x] == c, x]

Double "==" for equations, and the Built in functions start with a Cap
i.e., Sin not sin.

I'm trying to compute this following eq....

a*sin(x) + b*cos(x) = c

I did ------>    Solve[a*sin[x] + b*cos[x] = c, x]

But it doesn't work. Can anyone please tell me how to get he value of
that angle 'x'...??

Please...I need your help...I'm very new in using 'mathematica'.
