simple question

I have a simple question.
When I write e.g.


Solve[x^4 + 6*x^2 - 5 == 0, x, Method -> Badoption]

I get back

Solve[x^4 + 6*x^2 - 5 == 0, x, Method -> Badoption]

but the warning message Solve::method: Value of option Method ->
Badoption should be 1, 2, or 3, appears on different Message window and
not on the working notebook.

I believe something I have changed from the defaults but I can't find
what.
