alist = {{0}, {{1.2},0}, {{2.3},{1.2},0},{{3.4},{2.3},{1.2},0}, 
{{99.0},{98.9},{97.8},0}};

aalist=Flatten[Total/@alist]

{0,1.2,3.5,6.9,295.7}
