I don't know why I didn't realize it until just now, but in addition to the two faults (among a GREAT many advantages) of the version 6 Documentation Center as contrasted with "The Mathematica Book"... (1) the former is electronic only, the latter also came in print; (2) the former lacks the linear/spiral organization of the latter ... is a third: (3) the former lacks the lovely two-column layout of examples in the latter, with pithy legends/descriptions to the left of the displayed Input and Output. That layout is a lot easier to comprehend, often at a glance, I find, than having to read going downwards from a text cell to an Input/Output pair to another text cell. -- Murray Eisenberg murray at math.umass.edu Mathematics & Statistics Dept.
