I can think of two changes in version 6:
- a cell group can be closed around a member cell that isn't the
first in its group, and the closed group icon has variants to
indicate the direction(s) in which the group will open
- when an input cell containing a syntax error is evaluated, a yellow
[+] icon appears near the cell bracket
