To extend this thread, is there a way to specify the target artboard
size, or target page size, for an Exported graphic as part of the
options when Exporting graphics in PDF format, in 5.2 specifically?

I often Export created graphics in PDF format, then open them in Acrobat
to use them, or in Illustrator to touch them up.

I too have often seen the right hand portion of a graphic completely cut
off and totally missing, if the original graphic was too large. One can
of course avoid that by reducing ImageSize.

But even if one chooses, say, ImageSize->{6,4}*72 (convenient size to
work with on screen, convenient size to use in building presentation
slides), the result for me seems to be the 6" X 4" image pinned at the
very bottom of an 8.5" X 11" portrait type artboard.

What I'd like would be an Export option to have the resulting artboard
(or page) be either the same size as the graphic itself, or for the
image to be centered in an 11" X 8.5" *landscape* page.

Exporting in EPS instead of PDF format seems to give somewhat different
results. I haven't explored those because I want everything to end up
in PDF anyway (esp. with PDF now being native format for Illustrator).

[Answers relevant to 6.1 also welcome, as I have the upgrade in hand,
and really do have to upgrade to it sometime soon.]
