Hi,
I'm having trouble accessing the "Windows"-type Mathematica in my computer =
lab, which uses Xfce terminals, that is I cannot edit whatever I've typed.
For example, pressing Shift-Enter or Enter simply goes to the next line, no=
t evaluate input. I had to use the mouse to choose the Evaluate options. Pr=
essing "Delete" or "Backspace" doesn't work, I have to retype the whole lin=
e if I make a mistake. Also, after I save and close the session down, I can=
only continue working at the top of the notebook space when I open the fil=
e again. Basically, the version in the lab is very similar to the command-l=
ine version, except the former was able to show the palette.
Also, the cursor on the interface is that of a "hand" and not a "I", like i=
n Adobe Reader where all you can do is drag the page around but not edit. S=
o I'm having trouble editing the entries in a matrix created by a palette. =
I can type in the first entry, but I can't get to the rest of the entries. =
Pressing "Tab" simply creates the tab space, and I can't click on the other=
boxes in the matrix to edit them.
Are there any options that I'm not aware of that would make it easier to wo=
rk with, that is, to be able to edit stuff easily?
Thank you.
Regards,
Rayne
