Tabbed notebooks?

Is there any way to force Mathematica  open several notebooks in tabs,
like ones in firefox for example?

It is very annoying to shift between opened notebooks, because one
must  firstl close actual notebook and then look  for nb he needs,
which is  also often difficult, because there are no space to display
nb name in minimised notebooks..
