You don't mention which version of Mathematica you are using, though the simple answer in all cases is "no." However one could, in Mathematica 6, write a utility that allows you to visually navigate through your notebooks even though some of them are burried. I have ideas about this, "but not the time" to create it right now... One the Mac, of course, there is Expos=E9, which allows you to see all the notebooks that are currently on your desktop or by application in a "thumbnail" view. I assume that you are using Windows though. In A WorkLife FrameWork there is the "All Notebooks Palette" which allows you to bring up any currently open notebook. See http://scientificarts.com/worklife/documentation/allnotebookspalette.html for an example.
