Thanks for your responses

It seems that Solve is the easiest solution
eqn2=2+R Cc+R Bc?Ac R;
soln1=Solve[eqn2,R][[1]]

If I then set the solution to R again I can create a function and plot the results 

f = R    /.  soln1
