Hi,

and

ContourPlot[p^2/2 + Cos[x], {x, -Pi, Pi}, {p, -4, 4}]

draw the pahs portrait of a pendelum ? with a perfect
separatrix, in version 6.0 ??

And including 1.0 into the Contours option will do it in
version 5.2 also ??

Regards
   Jens
