Does anyone know how to solve a system of differential equations on
different domains?

For instance say you have :
D[T[x,t],t]==D[T[x,t],x,x] , for -r<x<0
D[T[x,t],t]==D[T[x,t],x,x]+Q[x,t],  for 0<x<r

and some boundary conditions ...

I would like the equations to be solved for x in (-r, r)

Is it possible to solve it avoiding solving two independent equations
for the 2 intervals?
