Using Inset as a primitive in Graphics3D

In the documentation it is stated that Inset is a graphics primitive
for Graphics3D but when I try to use in Mathematica tells me it's not
so. Has anyone been able to use Inset in a Graphics3D? Or is the
documentation on Graphics3D wrong?
