Tick Mark Customization

Hello!
I need to be able to COMPLETELY customize tick marks on 2D charts. I want to be able to choose the major and minor tick marks for both axes as whatever values I decide upon and also want to be able to have the tick marks cross the axes.
I located a package called EnhancedGraphics which allowed me to determine the size of tickmarks and have them cross the axes. However I don't think it is capable of allowing you to choose whatever major and minor tick marks you want.
Help would be appreciated!
