Bobby,

I can see some value in this argument, but I'd suggest, once you've obtained
an authorized list of names in this way, to just use this list for the sake
of readability. 

And, come to think about it, English spelling may be sometimes rather
unpredictable (others might say, designed by a bunch of baboons) this does
not mean there's much discussion about the spelling of month names. I would
trust myself in this. I'm sure you would too.
