How to write some texts to a existed notebook

I want to write some texts to a existed notebook. The existed notebook
has only one cell. I want to write the text inside this cell and at
its beginning. I tried to use NotebookWrite[], but it always wrote the
texts into a new cell. Can anyone help me out? Many thanks in advance!
