I've seen this happen on machines using mathlm for their license, but not those w/local mathpass file. Try holding Shift key during startup (http://reference.wolfram.com/mathematica/tutorial/ TroubleshootingOnMacOSX.html) 2. Could you provide some of the java exceptions? 3. Right-click the plot > Get Coordinates?
