In Mathematica 8.0.0 under Windows, I'm not getting that break after
either "r".

If I remove the curly braces around TeXForm, these white spaces go away. Do others see this? I am on "7.0 for Mac OS X x86 (64-bit) (November 11, 2008)", OS 10.6.5
