I am using a lot of underscripted characters (Underscript[A,b]) in text passages, and find that the underscripted character unnecessarily causes the line spacing to be large enough to make a paragraph look odd and disconcerting. I am looking for a way that I can reduce the spacing between the underscript (b) and its character (A) in such a way that the line spacing is reduced also - preferably by setting a global option. The spacing can be reduced by using the menu item Insert:Typesetting:Nudge up or its keyboard equivalent, but this does not reduce the line spacing. Thanks John
