Bill, Hitting the "Enter" key with the "Shift" key depressed and the cursor on the 2+2 line should do the calculation. There is no additional "Return" key. Also you can go to the menu item Evaluation/Evaluate Cells. --Dave -----Original Message----- From: Bill Wang Sent: Thursday, December 22, 2011 1:27 AM To: mathgroup at smc.vnet.net Subject: [mg123854] Annoying problem. I purchased a student version of Mathematica. And I tried to enter 2+2, use "Shift" + "Enter" keys and no output. I tried "Enter" key and still no output. and it seems that the Mathematica is running. I look at my laptop thoroughly, and there is no key called "Return". Anyone knows how to solve it?
