Prepared Talks "A Dynamic GraphPlot Application", by Dan Martinez ABSTRACT. Dan will demonstrate a way to portray associations between US Presidents using Manipulate with built-in Mathematica functions. "Mathematica as an Aid to Writing a Book", by Mel Friedman ABSTRACT. This talk describes how Mathematica is facilitating writing a book titled "Introduction to Infrared and Electro-Optical Systems". "Mission Imparsible?", by Dave Vasholz (also a member of the Mathematica Maryland SIG, MD-SIG) ABSTRACT. In this talk I will discuss various aspects of the problem of translating files consisting of LaTeX source code into Mathematica documents that are "self aware." 2.
