Difference between FrameLabel and AxesLabel

Hello.

I would like to know a little more about the options "FrameLabel" and
"AxesLabel": In what are they similar, and in what are they different??

By the way, when I dive into Mathematica help or Documentation Center, I
always think there are so many options and possibilities... Can you
recommend me a book where all this things are dealt in a clear and
systematic way?
