Animate reevaluates the expression on every change

By writing in a section an animate command say Animate[Plot[f[x]....
and on a next section assigning to f[x] a new expr, the Animate dialog
recalculates f[x] to the new one. I remember well, on previous
versions of Mathematica, there was no such problem. Thanks
