Hi,
First to solve the DE use
sol = DSolve[m*y''[x] + b*y'[x] + k*y[x] + m g == 0, y[x], x]
Since this is a simple assignment use
sol/.b^2 - 4*k*m -> 0
In other more complicated cases you might need to use Limit in place of a simple assignent
