Hi,
I tried solving the following differential equation,

d^2y/dx^2+k^2 y =0 (Particle in free space, quamtum mechanics)

There are two possible valid sol.
y[x]=ASin(kx)+BCos(kx)
or
y[x]=C*Exp(-ikx)+D*Exp{ikx)

When I use DSolve in mathematica it gives me the first solution. Is there a way to get the second solution with DSolve. Or is there an alternative to get second solution.

Bye
