I bought v9.0 Student Edition yesterday and was shocked and disappointed that it performed abysmally compared to what I remember in v7.0.
I've attached the code I'm running. Mathematica 7.0 ran it and iterations took a few seconds. The new version took so long to produce one iteration I gave up!
I know the code is ugly (and if you have any suggestions they're more than welcome :) ) but the comparison still stands.
I contacted tech support and am waiting a reply. I n the meantime can anyone tell me why the new version is so slow?
Utterly dissatisfied...
