Thank you in advance for your time.
I was hoping that with the new symbolic treatment of Continuous Distributions in Mathematica 6, I could do things like multiply two conjugate distributions together (like a normal-normal, binomial-beta, or whatever that has a analytic update) and get out a new distribution object that represented the analytical bayesian update.
Even when that did not work, I hoped I could "Solve" that back out, but it appears one can not.
See the attached .nb for a very simple normal-normal update example.
Of course, my bayesian stats knowledge is limited so that might be the real problem ;-)
