I'm having trouble formatting/importing data from a text file of numbers. I download economic data from the Federal Reserve at www.stls.frb.org and then open it as a text file with the frontend. Do I use ReadList[''file'', Number] to get the numbers into a form that I can work with. It multiplies the #'s out when I do it. Most of my data that I want to work on is also saved as excel files. I know this is a really simple question, but I'm just getting started with the program.
